About me
I am a long time English Wikipedia, Wikidata and Commons editor as User:Sadads. I have been engaged in Wikimedia programs since 2010: a project manager of the The Wikipedia Library, a volunteer supporting WP:Wikipedia Education Program, and am a supporter of GLAM-Wiki outreach. I have a Masters degree in English Literature from Kansas State University with research focused on cultural studies and the digital humanities. More recently, I worked as a digital humanist at K-State, where I developed en:Digital Humanities projects, creating partnerships with educators and cultural institutions.
My work
I am a Lead Program Strategist focused on the development of support for Content Campaigns within the foundation. This includes both supporting ongoing efforts by Movement Organizers to run content campaigns by documenting practices (see more at Campaigns) and improving technical and social workflows for effective organizing. As part of this work, I occasionally advise on projects like Project GLOW and run campaigns like WikiForHumanRights and 1lib1ref. The goal of content campaigns generated from the Foundation is to experiment with best practices on organizing campaigns, demonstrate the viability of different tactics, and align the Foundation's capacities and resources behind strategic topics, partnerships and communities for the Global Movement.
I previously worked to establish the GLAM-Wiki team at the Wikimedia Foundation and develop the The Wikipedia Library's research partnership program.
